"Hi, I'm Fireside Fred Rickett, your mentor, the fountain of football knowledge, who you will come to love or loath with the uppermost respect as I educate you on a simple but fascinating game, the game of football".
Over the coming weeks and months, Fred will be introducing you to other close and distant members of his family who are involved in all areas of the football world as well as sport in general. We have already advised you on another page of other nationalities who are similar to our English equivelent of Fred, and these being Gunter Faull and Rick Shaw at present.
The purpose is for you to enjoy the playing of sport and educate you whilst implementing a Sports Injury Awareness/Sports Tolerance Programme which is part of the Osgood Schlatters Appeal being launched which hopefully you will log on to at Osgood Schlatters., to start the initiation of your education, whereby the main aim is to protect kids from such a debilitating injury etc.

"Hi, it's me again, yeah Fred, I'm here to promote the fun side of sport and hope with your help, assistance, support and involvement we can instigate changes and trust you will play the games, quizzes and other pastimes on one of my many 'links' to me and the family".
"I hope to be out and about when we have one of our 'October Fest' each year - a festival of football and to express and show you my undoubted football wisdom and knowledge.
We will be playing a game with audience participation in the very near future on this subject matter 'The reconstruction of European Football', be involved in this game by helping me to create the results by playing 5-a side games of football and other methods of producing results which will be entered into a large grid.
As a great incentive, there are prizes to be won and with one particular event there will be an opportunity to win 2 tickets to see the Real Madrid v Barcelona match next season 2009-2010, so look at the linked web page attached to this site to find out more".
